"My habitual slouch/hunch has eased out!”

Thank you for being here and for reading my newsletter and to all my new subscribers.

Phew - what a rollercoaster life is? I’ve been receiving lots of wonderful feedback for my classes and Friday’s Sound & Soma was another magical evening. The sun has been shining in Lincolnshire and all seems sunny, yet, my mum’s health has been precarious - the highs and lows hey? And the stress and uncertainty of it all has triggered me and I have really felt it all physically, shortness in breath, tension in my body, energy dropping.

It’s often at these times self care slips, when we have these extra demands we can find ourselves saying “I don’t have time” or “I just don’t have the energy” and there’s been a few evenings this last week that I’ve said that in relation to my somatics practice - so, what I do is get an early night and practice in bed and in the morning, somehow the comfort and warmth in bed feels like a safer space for me and because of the weight of the bedding, my practice becomes more nuanced, I receive different sensory feedback and some of the movements are way smaller, it’s my way of finding solace and ease the stress out of my system.

Anyway, last week’s class prompted to Sue to email me, it’s emails like this, feedback and my online and in person students and clients that continue to inspire and sustain me through the rollercoaster of life. I am truly grateful.

Thanks Liz. My upper back feels and looks completely different. I’m amazed! Even my husband remarked on it. My habitual slouch/hunch has eased out, so I’ll certainly be doing that class again. And as a yoga teacher, I’m in awe of how clear your instructions are - so easy to follow. Sue H

If you missed the class I taught for Essential Somatics it is now available to purchase from Essential Somatics here

And there are just a few spaces left on Laura’s workshop - I'm not sure if you've seen the upcoming workshop with my teacher and mentor Laura Gates? You may have thought it might not apply to you or that it was just for teachers.
Asymmetry doesn't just show up as what we understand as the side bend of the trauma reflex, it also shows up as a twist and an imbalance in the way we walk, tension/pain in the back, or the neck, hips, knees and feet. And if you’ve had a hip or knee replacements, the underlying tension patterns that contributed will almost likely still be there. Details below and if you have any questions relating to this please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Below details of what’s in class this week, what’s new in the library and my upcoming offerings are here

I hope you can make space for you,

From my Heart, Soul & Soma to Yours,

Liz 🙏🏻🧡

Just added to the Library - Head First

This class helps you to sense the connection of your head to your centre and how both inform the other in terms of position, comfort and range of movement of your head, whilst also releasing any slouching and hunching.
