How is your New Year going?
I hope the festive period is brought peace, joy and rest? I find this time of year shifts me out of my weekly rhythm especially with all the visits and gatherings with friends and family. My personal Somatics practice became a bit lost and when I do practice it might be a bit hurried or shorter than I’d ideally like, does this resonate with you? So, I’ve been giving myself some slower mornings to get a deeper practice in.
I find there can be a sense of the year ahead feeling like a wide open space, a canvas which we can fill all too quickly; for me January is still a balance, there can be a restlessness yet, we are still in that time of year of wintering, nurturing, without the need to forge ahead.
And yet, always within us, we can move through that restlessness in ways that are gentle and organic, through Somatics (and a wintery walk of course!☺️), finding that balance of deep rest to your nervous system that Somatics brings. Below, there's a free class for you, it’s from my “Short n Sweet” library that will ease you back into your practice or perhaps, if you are new, trying a different way to quieten that restlessness?
I’ll be easing my way back into teaching the week of the 12th January.
Thank you for reading,
From my Heart, Soul & Soma to Yours,
Liz 🙏🏻🧡
A Free Class from From the Library - Freeing the Spine through Arch & Flatten
This is lovely shorter class and good for beginners too. It’s a good introduction to the basic movement of Arch and Flatten whilst directing the shoulders to certain points along the spine, feels wonderful for both the spine and shoulders. A lovely, simple stand alone practice. Use code FREE1 to gain access.
Class Resume From 13th January
From 13th January I’ll be back teaching - online on Tuesday & Thursday at 10am and Wednesday 6:15 GMT. In person at Central Wellness on Friday at 11 am.
