Thank you to everyone who came along to the charity class and to those who donated. My car was bursting with all the donations and today I dropped off the warm clothing to Project Compass. I will be dropping off food donations to Lincoln Community Larder later on this week. The reality is that for many, this is a really hard time of year, so your contributions are gratefully received.
It hardly seems real that last week was the last of my live classes until 2026, seriously - where has this year gone?
Life has thrown it’s challenges but I feel incredibly lucky - and grateful that I have wonderful students and clients that support and encourage. I really believe in this practice and how we can heal ourselves through Somatics and somatic practices such as dance, sound and song - all ways to move stress, tension and the unconscious, whatever that may be, through us and out.
Next year I plan to bring new events that bring my passions of drumming, singing and dancing - ways in which we can express ourselves authentically to shake off the heaviness.
This year - a huge highlight and gift was the willingness of students to send in testimonials - to help spread the word on Somatics. The Reconnection Retreat was a joy to offer and I am so looking forward to be doing it all again in January. I've adored working with my oldest friend Caroline in our Sound & Soma classes, something that came about after a camping trip at Wild Spirit weekend at Clophill in Beds.
My weekly classes and client schedule - the rhythm of which keeps me grounded, (and sane!) and purposeful and whether it’s in my online or in-person classes, time spent chatting before and after class, makes it all the more meaningful.
So, thank You from my Heart, Soul & Soma for sharing this journey around the sun with me.
Liz 🙏🏻🧡
In Class last Week - Grounding through Rhythm & Rolling
Shift your pace by slowing down and aligning with Winter’s energy. This week's class is all about finding a different rhythm to that of this often frantic festive period.
I teach online on Tuesday and Thursday at 10am and Wednesday 6:15 GMT. In person at Central Wellness on Friday at 11 am.
Now in the Library - A Tension Melting Shoulders, Neck & Jaw Class (much enjoyed)
Try this class to melt away shoulder, neck and jaw tension, bringing you to a place of comfort and inner peace. Lots of yawns in this class which is always a good sign of nervous system regulation. Aaaaannnnd Relax!
Next year I have a Sound & Soma class on the 30th January and also Laura Gates a scoliosis expert within the field of Somatics is coming to Lincoln, offering a two day workshop and will also be available for 1:1’s.
Thanks again for reading,
From my Heart, Soul & Soma to yours
Liz 🧡🙏🏻
